What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and, when you consent, to collect analytics data so site owners can understand how their product is being used.

We also use browser storage that is not a cookie and is never sent to a server by itself: localStorage, IndexedDB and a service worker cache. The website uses localStorage to remember your cookie choice. The Fighter Cut app (app.fightercut.com and the iOS app) uses all three to work offline and keep your data on your device. Each use is listed below.

Cookies We Use

The table below lists every cookie placed on your device when you visit fightercut.com. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Essential, always active

Storage the app uses on your device

These are used by the Fighter Cut app, not for tracking. They stay on your device; the app only sends data to our server if you create an account or turn on a sharing switch, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Analytics, only with your consent

Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you press Accept. If you decline, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, it is never loaded and these cookies are never set. If you withdraw consent later, we stop it and delete them.

Analytics data is processed under Google's privacy infrastructure. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on to block collection across all sites.

On this website: PostHog, only if you accept

The same Accept also loads PostHog on fightercut.com, the blog and the tools. It counts page views and clicks on the main buttons (App Store, Google Play, open the app, The Corner, pricing) and may record a replay of the visit with every form field masked. Nothing from PostHog loads before you accept, and Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control keeps it off. When loaded it stores an anonymous id in local storage under a key beginning ph_. Decline, or reopen this choice from Manage, to stop it.

In the app: PostHog, only if you opt in

The Fighter Cut app (app.fightercut.com and the iOS and Android apps) asks once per device whether to allow usage analytics and, separately, masked session replay through PostHog. Until you say yes nothing from PostHog is loaded and nothing is stored. If you do, PostHog keeps an anonymous id and its settings in your device's local storage under a key beginning ph_. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control count as a No. Change your answer in Settings, Privacy. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Managing Your Preferences

You can change your consent at any time. Click the button below to reopen the preference panel. Your existing choice will be cleared and you can decide again. Choosing Decline after accepting stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies.

Browser controls

All modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies independently of our banner:

Blocking essential cookies may cause the consent banner to reappear on every visit.

Analytics cookies are processed on the basis of your freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time using the button above. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Essential cookies and localStorage are used on the basis of legitimate interest in delivering a functional website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). They do not track you across sites or serve any commercial purpose.

Changes to This Policy

If we add new cookies or trackers we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes requiring fresh consent will be communicated via the consent banner.
