What You Are Buying
A named placement in the app, held for a calendar month, at a published price. It is not an auction, there is no bidding, and the invoice does not move with impressions — you book the slot, you have the slot.
Your band looks like this, and it always says what it is:
Sponsored · Your Brand
16oz gloves built for hard rounds
Two lines, ninety characters, no autoplay and no takeover.
The Rate Card
Prices are per month, in US dollars, billed on the web. Slots marked as rotating are shared between at most two campaigns, which alternate by session — bands are never stacked on top of each other.
Optional targeting, at no extra cost: US state, and discipline (combat, physique, fitness). That is the entire targeting surface and it is not going to grow — see below.
The Rules We Hold Ourselves To
Worth reading before you plan a campaign, because two of these will rule some briefs out entirely.
Free tier only
Ads run to athletes on the free tier and to nobody else. Paying subscribers hold an ad-free entitlement and the app renders nothing at all for them — not a smaller unit, not a house ad. Advertising is what funds the free tier, and upgrading is the way out of it. Your reach is the free population, and we will tell you honestly how large that is.
We do not track people, so we cannot target them
The app is local-first: food logs, weigh-ins and cut plans never leave the athlete's device. We do not build profiles, we do not set advertising cookies, we do not run third-party ad SDKs, and we do not sell or share data with anyone. Impressions are counted as a per-creative, per-day number with no user attached.
This is why targeting is two fields. It is not a launch limitation.
Every creative is reviewed
Copy is read by a person before it can render, and editing approved copy sends it back for review automatically. Athletes can report any band from inside the app and we read those.
What we will not run
- Anything promising weight loss by a date, a rate, or an amount — this app is used by people cutting weight under real medical risk, and we are not putting a "drop 10 lb this week" claim in front of them.
- Diuretics, laxatives, appetite suppressants, sauna suits sold as cutting aids, or any product marketed for making weight through dehydration.
- Substances on the WADA prohibited list, SARMs, peptides sold for human use, or supplements making anabolic claims.
- Gambling and sportsbooks, including free-to-play funnels.
- Anything targeting minors, and anything that would not sit honestly under a label reading SPONSORED.
If a brief is close to one of these, ask. We would rather have the conversation before you build the creative.
How A Campaign Runs
- You tell us the slot and the month. We confirm availability and send an invoice — billed on the web, by card or transfer.
- You get a brand account with a console: your campaigns, your creatives, and your impression and click numbers per day.
- Creative goes in as a headline (up to 90 characters), an optional two-line body (up to 200), a call to action, and a destination URL. We review, then it goes live on your start date.
- You can pause at any time. A paused campaign stops rendering immediately; the month is not pro-rated.
Enquire
Tell us the brand and the slot you want. A person answers, usually within two working days.
Got it. We will come back to you at the address you gave, usually within two working days.
Prefer email? ads@fightercut.com. Gyms looking to refer other gyms want the partner program instead.
